This was simply a magical, epic experience. I would say once in a lifetime, but I plan on doing this again as soon as I can. I wanted an adventurous, challenging ride, and Ted put together a masterpiece. Lots of climbing over 60 some miles, but we were on lightly traveled roads, none of the hectic traffic that you typically find in the valley. We stopped an vineyards and a tiny winery I would never had access to otherwise. Ted's wine knowledge is first rate, this is a whole new way to experience wine country. I could not recommend this highly enough!

My husband and I found Vine Trail Adventures on Tripadvisor while looking for an active vacation activity in nearby Napa Valley. After we booked, they reached out to understand our desires for the bike tour and our fitness levels. They crafted an amazing cycling tour through quiet country roads and the new Vine Trail. Along the way, we tasted from the barrel, measured the sugar level in grapes in a working vineyard and ended the tour with an intimate tasting with the winemaker and owner of Olabisi Wines. The day was magical and we can't wait to do it again with friends.

My husband and I wanted to do an active activity that also would provide us an opportunity to learn about and experience the wine culture and terroir of Napa Valley. It was magical to cycle along vineyards on a bike trail with an experienced winemaker who could help us understand Napa wines and their relation to wines in France. Tasting from the barrel and then tasting the finished wine in his charming tasting room while hearing his philosophy on winemaking was a special experience. We highly recommend Vine Trail Adventures' Ride With A Winemaker tour.

I wanted to cycle in Napa and had no familiarity with the roads, no time to plan, and no knowledge of trustworthy local bike shops. Gerardo and the Vine Trail Adventures crew took care of all of that, and I had two incredible days of riding that I won't soon forget. My highest recommendations for this service!

It was such a pleasure working with Gerardo. He provided an incredible route to ride and communicated throughout the process. Highly recommend Vine Trail Adventures if you are a rider and want to explore wine country outside of a van!

Excellent company. From the setup call, to the trip planning and the tour. I was looking for a guide service who could plan and lead a solo 60-70 mile cycling route around Napa, riding more than just the vinetrail, getting out on the actual roads. and this team delivered perfectly. Highly recommended.

My husband & I enjoyed the bike & wine tour with Ted & Gerardo. The bike route was scenic & good for beginners, but they can set up a route for more experienced riders. They gave us a history of the different wineries in Calistoga & how wine is made it was
It was a very informative tour, & at the end we got to taste different wines at Ted’s winery. Definitely an experience to remember we really enjoyed it. Ted & Gerardo were super friendly as well & personable. Highly recommend.

The best thing we've done on our EPIC cross country adventure was make a connection with Gerardo's Vine Trail Adventures!!!

From long before we arrived in Calistoga, Gerardo has been there for us. He's been extremely generous with his time. Our stay here would not have been the same without him! From lodging (he saved the day on this point for sure) to dining (we've gained a few pounds) and his knowledge of the local area and the history of the vineyards.

The riding:
Gerardo is a true professional. First off he is super focused on SAFTEY! He got to know our riding style and ability long before we got on the bikes. He was key to getting us on bikes that "fit". All along our route he was constantly making sure we were comfortable and aware of what we were doing and what was next!

We now feel we have a "true friend" in Calistoga and we will be back!

Rob & Dee!
