3 out of 4 main dishes were disappointing. The service was very slow, too. And avoid this place if you're looking for a quiet place for dinner. The Filet mignon was served with a red pepper sauce, which was a little overpowering for a $44 cut of meat. The sauce is not supposed to be the main attraction, in my opinion. The pork chop was heavily over salted! So much so that it was inedible. Both had dry mashed potatoes. The rigatoni and vodka sauce was one minute short of perfect. The pasta was getting stuck in my teeth. The desserts were not homemade. The carrot cake was too sweet, and the cheesecake came to the table still frozen in the center. The service started out good but it seemed that once the place got busier things slowed way down. Almost an hour between the app course to the main dish.

I had a great experience dining at Volo. The food was very good, the staff was very welcoming and kind, the service was very appropriate, and the atmosphere was very nicely done. The holiday decorations were tastefully placed and added to the ambiance. There was live music performing and I found the sound quality to be quite good. The owner personally came to our table to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, which I greatly appreciated. I will surely be returning, and recommend others try it as well.

Finally found my happy place! Everyone working here is so friendly and welcoming, from the hostess to the bartenders, to the owners. I’ve only had their pizza, which is awesome. My friends and I have been all over CT and Volo by far has the best live entertainment in the State. I look forward to coming here every week!

My husband went to Volo last night and tried it out as part of our 10 year anniversary celebration. We were greeted by the hostess Bella. What a way to start our entrance into the rest of the restaurant. Bella was very friendly and it was nice to be greeted with a friendly and welcoming face. Frank, the manager, came by our table and asked how things were and if anyone at that time had taken our order. The atmosphere is great. It's absolutely beautiful inside. We hope to go on a day when there's live entertainment. The staff is friendly as well. I would recommend checking in with the customer more frequently after the food is received, other than that, everything was perfect. My husband had the salmon dish and I had the wild mushroom risotto...very good!!! As we exited the restaurant, once again Bella was there to send us off with a smile and inviting us to return. We will be back!!!

We had our holiday party at Volo and it was a truly special time! The food was excellent (especially the pizzas...so good!), the staff was so kind and attentive, and the ambience and decor made the night even more lovely. Thank you so much, Volo!
