The setting, location, staff, and vision of VOWS is truly one of a kind! I had a couple want to downsize their large wedding, to much more intimate, and they chose VOWS!

I've hung out with Linda at wedding vendor events, and she is so kind, understanding and caring about her couples! She wants everyones weddings to go off without a hitch, and they make that happen!

I had my wedding at VOWS DSM back in July. I was very impressed with the venue and their unique business model. It's the perfect place for a small, casual, yet beautiful and intimate wedding. They are truly one of a kind! The staff was kind and made sure that the groom and bride felt special on our day. The ceremony was simple and beautiful. Our photos turned out great! Our wedding really was the best day of my life!. Our experience was good ( I would still recommend) but not perfect.

Few things to touch on: Originally, we had booked the afternoon slot, and later, we discovered another couple was also booked for that time due to a miscommunication on their part. Linda was apologetic and compromised by offering alternative dates and willingness to void our contract if we no longer wanted to book. Although initially stressful, we decided to switch to the morning session, and ultimately did not affect our day. We did still pay full price. I actually really enjoyed the morning slot and would recommend it. We took our guests on a party bus and got to spend the evening bar hopping Des Moines which was fun! Secondly, there wasn’t enough food for our reception. After taking family photos, we returned to find that most of the food was already gone. Linda offered to order food for the bride and groom and worked to please my mother-in-law (who paid for the wedding & wasn’t very happy about this.) which I appreciated. It turns out a few guests had to order their own pizza to the venue. Perhaps this was because we upped our guest number from 30 to 40 at our final call? I’m not sure. But If we paid the difference, the food count should reflect that. We really enjoyed our time with Liz on our wedding day, I was initially disappointed to find that some of the photos of me and my family taken before the ceremony were missing. After letting them know, they did get these back to me, which I am grateful for!

All in all, we DID have a great day and a beautiful wedding. Some stressful and slightly disappointing moments due to no fault of our own, but it didn’t tamper our entire experience. There are some great things happening, and some to work on. I hope this feedback will help ensure that future brides have the full five-star experience!

We could not recommend VOWS DSM enough to anyone who is looking for the perfect intimate wedding day!! Linda and the rest of her team were a joy to work with from start to finish. They let us add our own special touches to the day and went above and beyond in both service and execution to ensure all our needs were met. Thank you so much for all you guys do. To anyone wanting a small intimate wedding without compromising the elegant feel of a large formal wedding this is it. The wedding was sweet, intimate, and upscale. This venue gives you the feel of a top tier wedding at the pricing point of eloping. My favorite part was Linda and her team making everything so easy and stress free. Vows handles everything from food, flowers, photographer, officiant, music and cake so that you can actually be in the moment and fully enjoy your special day. I would pick vows again a million times over!

Thank you again Linda and VOWS team for the absolutely dreamy and incredible evening. We could not have imagined a more perfect day and wish we could re-live that day over and over. Nothing but compliments from our guests. We have had so many guests and family members who want us to get our vows renewed at VOWS just so we can do it all again!! The team helped us load up the flower arrangements and we got to use them at our event the following day and they looked beautiful (see picture)!!! We don’t have our full album from the photographer (who was amazing), but included are pictures from our guests throughout the night.

Again, thank you!!!! for making our dream day come to life and exceed every expectation along the way. If you’re thinking of booking, DO IT! We booked in 2022 for our spring 2024 wedding and everything came to life. Trust the process and the team. The food, flowers, ceremony, and photography were perfect.

Our special day was perfect!! We had our ceremony was just for close family and friends, very inmate. Some of our friends and family were unable to join us. Linda was very accommodating in letting us livestream it. Most people say how stressful wedding planning is and I’m horrible at making decisions. But Linda and her crew took care of it all. We did the 1 hr Elopement ceremony. I was a little worried how everything was going to go but Linda was great about keeping everything on track. I highly recommend. The Vow to anyone.

We had our ceremony at Vows, and Linda was flexible with us, adopted our vision, and made every aspect of our ceremony and the happy hour that followed beyond perfect! For anyone looking for a small wedding, we can't recommend Vows enough for a beautiful and stress free event! Also, the alley behind Vows is perfect for pictures!

We are planning an Elopement for 5/15/25 in the 515! Linda has been fun to work with and meet! Her passion for wedding is contagious! VOWS takes care of all the details and they are reasonably priced for all they include!
