Worst experience ever. Ending up in a Shelter is horrific as it is but even worse when the person advocating for you has a chip on their shoulder and judges books by their covers. Social Worker Mykarra refused to listen to my needs since day one. I ended up hospitalized from the anxiety she caused me. She made me cry on several meetings with her condescending attitude towards her clients and called me hostile as an excuse to get me discharged from the program because I beleive she only wanted to get me an apartment (to pretend as if she is doing her job when she was usually asleep at her desk and) to keep their funding but didn't care if I couldn't afford to keep it (costs too high for my income) or if it didnt suit my needs 1br / 2br (dog friendly, child), "setting people up for failure" is their goal. She even lied to me and stated the realtor she connected me to spoke ill of me, anything to make it look as is it were me unwilling to cooperate, searching for excuses on why she couldn't do her job to help me. Even her manager Tina KNEW the social worker had a problem with me and sympathized just to later back up her employee and falsely discharge me to protect themselves for their lack of effort to guide me for housing. They asked for receipts but failed to even LOOK at the receipts to back up your claim. 3 mo temporary stay was less than 2 mo because they refused to take responsibility for their lack of willingness and capability to help me and my case. They refuse to listen to their clients needs but rather to the sound of their own voices and she even spoke ill of me to other residents violating HIPAA. They claim no pets knowing I have a therapy dog but then the lady next to me has 2 dogs with her, but I get an infraction for having mine visit us indoors because of the rain. No Respect. Then after they discharge you, because they can't or refuse to help you, they have the nerve to make things more difficult for the client who turned to them for help for their families and get DCF involved. Thanks for making Life more challenging! I gave it a 2 star only because the apartment/townhome was decent to bad the employees are not.
