Over a year later, our guests are still telling us how our wedding was the best they have ever attended. I give all the credit to Aimée. This was no small feet as our wedding was postponed due to wildfires burning down our venue and then a pandemic. Aimée was not phased, and within a month, we were up and running with a whole new venue, budget, and game plan that resulted in the happiest day of my life.

Aimee Newlander (Weddings by Aimee) and her team were wonderful to work with. We hired them to help us with everything related to the wedding, from site selection to sourcing vendors to orchestrating our big day on-site. Aimee was very intutitive and easily understood what we were trying to achieve. She lead with hear. Over the eight or so months that we worked together she was a project manager, a CFO, a designer, a therapist and more! We would highly recommend anyone to work with her.

With 10 months to plan a wedding weekend in Santa Cruz, and neither my partner or I being particularly great at planning things, we found Aimée Newlander and her team via a recommendation from our venue (The Sequoia Retreat Center). The moment we had an intro video call with her, we knew it was the perfect match! We went with the Coordination Package, which was a great mix between planning and typical day-of-coordination.

We really loved Aimée's unique take on weddings, her time and care towards our specific needs, and the communication we had with her. She really proved the definition of a mindful and passionate planner! Aimée is reliable, well organized, has a deep knowledge of weddings and events, and is well connected with local vendors, making it that much less stressful to plan. There was a real focus on sustainability and supporting local business as well, which was so important to us. And, when we were overwhelmed leading up to the wedding, she was able to reel us back in and remind us of what our day was all about.

And when our wedding day/weekend came, it was everything we wanted! Aimée and her teammate Tara did so many things behind the scenes to make our weekend the absolute best at The Sequoia. Would highly recommend Aimée and her team!

Aimee was such a pleasure to work with. She was our biggest advocate and brought a sense of confidence and calm to the entire process. I'm usually the organized one, as I am a project manager myself. Working with Aimee, I knew that she was handling everything and I didn't have to worry about anything. Her values shined through her work. She was generous with her time, concerned about executing on our vision, and contracting with small and local vendors. Although we devastatingly decided to cancel our wedding (for now) a month beforehand due to beginning of the COVID outbreak, I am certain it would have been everything I ever dreamed of. When we did make the decision, Aimee was there helping us navigate the next steps, identify alternative options, and communicate with vendors, etc. I absolutely recommend her 100 times over.

Aimee and her team were amazing to work with, especially since we had to reschedule our wedding twice due to Covid. Each time and up until the day of, Aimee supported us, took the pressure off our shoulders of the day-to-day planning, and ultimately was a huge part of our wedding being amazing!

Sometimes it's hard to hand over the responsibility of one of the most important and memorable days of you and your spouses life, but we're both so grateful we found Aimee and her team to take that task (many tasks actually) and do such a great job.

We both really felt that she is not only professional, but takes the success of your event personally and with pride. The weekend was amazing and we're so happy she was a part of it.

We, like many couples this season, have had our wedding plans turned upside down because of the pandemic. Thankfully we had Aimée Newlander as our wedding planner to lean on. Her experience as a top-notch wedding planner and "can-do" spirit is what made our new wedding plans possible. With her guidance through these difficult times, we have been able to keep our original vision of our special day intact. Aimee was very quick to act as our advocate in communication with all our vendors. She took the difficult work upon herself in rescheduling and getting new contracts with each vendor, which provided huge stress relief for us. Although it's been a very unfortunate and sad situation for us to have to postpone our wedding out 1 year, Aimee is the reason it has been a smooth process for us, she was there (and is there) for us every step of the way! We look forward to continuing to work with her throughout this next year, and we know our wedding day, when it happens, will be perfect in every way we dreamed of because of Aimee's dedication to what she does. We feel lucky to have found her!

There are not enough words (or stars) to reflect my affinity for Aimee and working with her + team + vendors. Over the 10 month Wedding planning process I truly found someone that I will call a friend for life. Aimee is THE BEST there is.

I literally discovered Aimee on Yelp [lucky me] as I was looking for a Wedding Coordinator to work with in the Aptos, CA area. Just based on her previous reviews, I reached out to set up a face-to-face meeting. From the moment we met, I had a wonderful feeling about her...she has a huge warm smile that will make you feel like you've always known her. Aimee spent a nice bit of time getting to know us each (as a couple and individuals) and what we wanted for our Wedding Day. From that meeting, it made sense that she is the one I wanted to have by my side during this experience.

Initially I was only going to hire a Wedding Coordinator for the "Day Of", but I ended up working with Aimee on our Wedding Day, Rehearsal Dinner and a Ladies Brunch that I hosted for my Bridesmaids. All turned out PERFECTLY.

Aimee reflects a true and genuine feeling of care and comfort. She has a go-getter attitude and is able to handle anything you throw her way; and is able to do it with the utmost gentleness, care and her awesome smile! I am a Type-A personality who likes to think I can handle all the details, but I assure you - - to have someone like Aimee by your side during this time is unequivocally the BEST decision you will make during the Wedding planning process. She is able to make suggestions on design and vendors (she has the best ones in her back pocket); which will make the experience more enjoyable for you and your Fiance.

You truly will not meet people like her in the Wedding industry.
She is a diamond in the rough.

Aimee is exceptional and truly a special person! We continue to look back at our wedding, and have huge grins and filled hearts when we do so. We attribute this largely to the incredible work Aimee did in coordinating our wedding - from helping us select our vendors, to organizing the timeline, to making every moment special and calm by her presence and direction.

We loved the slow wedding concept and really felt Aimee stayed true to it. She also stayed true to our vision (tuscan-themed, romantic, slow, intimate wedding) and value of contributing to the community, being eco friendly, and giving our guests a taste of the Carmel, CA culture (via our vendor selection). As we had our wedding at a private residence, we hand selected all our vendors. The wedding vendors Aimee recommended were exceptional; the music, catering, and floral was better than we imagined. The people operating these small businesses were just remarkable people; and some felt like they became a part of the family.

Aimee went above and beyond to make sure that all of our in person meetings created space for creativity while maintaining direction in a calm manner. Her professional yet personable demeanor at the wedding was noted by all. My family was extremely impressed and I had a number of wedding guests say that they found her presence warm and inviting. Everyone felt the wedding was extremely well orchestrated. This was not a small feat given we had a complicated transportation situation and then needing a last minute back up option with a potential call for rain (with a partially outdoor wedding). Side note: It did not rain. 😉

The time with Aimee made us feel special and made the process of planning enjoyable. She is genuinely dedicated to supporting couples create their most memorable day.
