Amazing Anniversary Ride at Canyon Creek Ranch!

My husband and I had an unforgettable anniversary experience at Western Destinations Canyon Creek Ranch! They provided us with a private horseback riding, and it was absolutely perfect. Our wrangler, Rich, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the ride so much fun. He balanced engaging us with games, while also giving us time to enjoy the peaceful ride and connect with each other.

The little Western town at the ranch was a charming touch and truly made us feel like we had stepped back into the Wild West. It added so much authenticity and character to the entire experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate our special day!

We highly recommend Western Destinations to anyone looking for a unique and memorable adventure. We can’t wait to return with our friends and family!

This was my fifth visit to Western Destinations, and the experience still doesn’t disappoint! I am an experienced rider myself but I have brought complete beginner riders with me too. It is an excellent way for everyone to see the desert and enjoy the Wild West. Rusty was a great guide and clearly loves what he does. Horses all know the score, I rode Shooter again, he’s a great horse if you get him.

We had the most incredible experience with Rusty as our tour guide! He took us on an unforgettable horseback ride into the desert, where we were mesmerized by the stunning landscape. Rusty's deep knowledge of the land, combined with his friendly and kind demeanor, made the entire journey both educational and enjoyable.

The highlight was definitely the charming old western-style village where Rusty taught us how to shoot guns and arrows. His patience and expertise made us feel like pros in no time! This was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip.

Definitely recommend! Had never been on a horse before and had an amazing time our guide Delaney was great, felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time and all of the games where a lot of fun never thought I’d use a lasso in my life but it was a lot more fun than I expected! 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

We had an incredible experience at this ranch! The fact that there’s a hidden little western town on a mountain added a unique touch to the day, making it an unforgettable adventure. Despite the rainy start to our day, our guide Rich ensured we still had a great time! The weather cleared up, and during the horseback riding trail, we were treated to breathtaking views of the beautiful AZ sunset, topped off with a stunning rainbow. The horses were well-trained and super sweet, the staff was friendly and helpful. The all-around picturesque setting made it the perfect day. If you’re looking for a fun adventure, we highly recommend this place!

I booked a horseback riding and skeet shooting experience based on the fantastic TripAdvisor ratings, and the expectations were set high. Western Destinations not only delivered but exceeded those expectations - what a phenomenal experience! Our guide Rusty was very knowledgeable, personable, and fun to be around. We had an unforgettable afternoon at Canyon Creek Ranch. The team there was able to get us in last minute (only a day in advance) and we did the package with 1.5 hours of horseback riding through the 133 acres of beautiful desert countryside and then lunch & games back in their Old Town, where we did the ring toss, ax throwing, range shooting, roping ‘cattle’ and archery. Sarah was an excellent tour guide and Josh was a big help getting us started when Jelly the Horse was not up for the tour. We rode Gumball, Fox, Huckleberry and Spice. The kids (ages 8 & 11) did great for their first time on a horse and the day couldn’t have been more perfect weather wise. Just be careful opening up the freezer in the saloon. An incredible way to end 2023. Highly recommend, Must-Do! Thank you CCR!

Rich was a great guide. My husband and I were new riders and he was very patient and knowledgeable. After we finished our ride we played several fun western games. We will definitely be back some day.
