Lions and tigers and bears ..oh my! A great way to spend a day with the kiddo's. Just 2 hour south of the airport sits 330+ acres of fun. Live animals roaming and interacting with the visitors.
Pro tips: take the free bus (leave the driving to someone else and enjoy watching the kids feed the animals. If you have to rent one of their vans but whatever you do don't drive your personal vehicle.
Buses run every 30 minutes. So, if you missed the bus start with the walk through portion of the park 1st. Here you will find the reptile house, a interactive bird house where you can feed the birds and a 12 foot alligator. Here is also where you will find the tigers and bears, kangaroos, monkeys, lemurs and a host of other animals. There is also a petting zoo. Most of the animals were active and we were able to take some great pics.

We had a great time, we bought the souvenir bag with the four paper bags of feed plus the souvenir cup.Two adults and one child and we ran outta feed before the end. Buy more is my recommendation or don’t be to generous in the beginning. We had a blast. Also recommend to use their rentals Vans because we had a goat continue to ram the side of the vehicle to get a treat not worth risking your own vehicle. Spend the extra $30 and drive the rental. I also noticed the animals would run from the buses scared because they were loud diesel rent the van skip the buses.

Wild Animal Safari located in Pine Mountain, Georgia is a great place for the whole family. This was my first time here and I will definitely be back in the future. This place consists of a walkabout filled with many different animals from all over the world. Then the main attraction which is the self guided tour around the park filled with animals. You can either take your own vehicle which I do not recommend because the animals can be very aggressive and could possibly damage your vehicle. Or you can rent many different sizes of vehicles for the whole family to enjoy this amazing experience. The self guided tour around the park takes a little over an hour depending on how crowded the park is. When your on the tour, you will see many different animals consisting of deer, elk, pigs, camels, giraffes, goats, bison, ostriches, and so much more. I highly recommend this place for you and the whole family for an amazing time feeding many different animals kinds of animals. But be aware of the llamas as one spit at me and my family.

Our group went here on the weekend early February. We purchased tickets online. They have 2 section that we can visit. One is to walk around and see the smaller animals and pet and feed sheeps etc. They have a large variety of animals here. From kangaroo, wallaby, pigs, snakes, wolves, tigers, all the way to some bird species. To enter this walking portion, you have to pass through the yellow gift shop building. Kids enjoyed this part since they can see the animals up close.
They also have the driving part through their compound. Give yourself ample time to go through the self drive on the park. It can go faster or slower depends on the driver in front of you. This part is the exciting part and there were plenty of animals to see and feed. Kids will love it and scream and get super excited! My recommendation is to buy more than 1 bag of feed. I can guarantee you, that within the first 1/4 of the park you realize that you are running low on the feed and you will try to ration what you have left for the long 3/4 of the way ahead and you would wish you have more. I should have bought like 2-3 next time since I know the kids are gonna go crazy with it.
They have several vehicles to rent from minivan to passenger van. They also have large bus for people all to go with and feel safer than driving your own car since there will be a chance that your vehicle can get damaged by the animal, or get your car scratched or your side mirror broken. I recommend folding the mirror during the drive.
I was in a rental car with full coverage, so I was okay driving my own minivan with plenty of caution. This safari was really fun and it became the highlight of the trip. I highly recommend visiting this place with the family while you are visiting Atlanta!

We visited Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain, Georgia, on September 1, 2024, and had an unforgettable experience! This unique drive-through wildlife park gave us an up-close-and-personal encounter with a variety of fascinating animals. From the comfort of one of the safari rentals, we were able to drive around the park at our own pace and hand-feed all kinds of animals, it was so exciting to see the animals eagerly approach the car, each one full of personality.
The park itself is well-maintained, with plenty of space for the animals to roam freely. It’s clear they prioritize the care and comfort of their wildlife residents. For those looking to get out of the car and explore, the walk-through section of the park was equally enjoyable, featuring smaller animals and interactive exhibits.
This adventure was not only fun but also educational. It’s a perfect outing for families, animal lovers, or anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind experience. This is definitely something everyone should experience at least once in their life! If you’re in the Pine Mountain area, Wild Animal Safari is a must-visit!

This was such a fun experience. My daughter, granddaughter and I drove 2 hrs one day during the week. We arrived just after a field trip was leaving so we were able to take our sweet time. One goat put his paws on my car but no damage. It was definitely worth it.

This place is amazing! It exceed our expectations in every single way. Rent their van. Do not drive your own car because the animals will be in it with you. It took us about 70 minutes to drive through. It is a huge property. So many animals to feed and be up close with. We enjoyed every second of this. Nice small zoo included nextdoor.

Visiting Wild Animal Safari was an excellent decision! There’s plenty of parking available. You have the option to rent a vehicle for the safari, but we chose to take the bus instead. The animals roam freely and often come right up to the windows for food, which is an amazing experience. But if your kids are a little nervous around animals, the bus might be a better option, as only giraffes can reach the windows. The bus ride lasts about an hour, so make sure to buy enough food for the adorable animals!
