We took a day kayak trip with Wild Expeditions. Great time, and Allie and Levi were great guides! The river is beautiful and easy to navigate. The kachina panel and River House are awesome. Definitely would do this trip again.

Our 3-day, 2-night trip on the San Juan River (Sept 2024, Sand Island to Mexican Hat) was amazing in so many ways. Besides getting to experience the landscape, the dark sky, and the solitude, we learned so much about the geology, history, and culture of the area from our guides — Marley and Allie. They expertly handled the rafts, kept us well-fed, and very well cared for!! Cannot recommend it highly enough—- don’t delay!!!

Our guides, Allie and Levi were very accommodating, informative, and knowledgeable of the area. Great float, pictograph and cliff dwellings tour, & exciting Hummer ride. Highly recommend the kayak and Hummer tour!

My husband and I did the San Juan River & Hummer Cliff Dwelling Expedition tour. It was a very easy and relaxing day on the river. The river moves gently but swift. You can float most of the 6.5 miles so it makes for an easy day on the river. We stopped to see a very large rock panel of rock art. It was spectacular to see so much on one wall. After that we stopped for lunch on the river and then headed onto the hummer. We had the military hummer and it was a lot of fun! We stopped to see a 1,000 year old cliff dwelling. I never get tired of seeing them so I really enjoyed that. It was really nice to beat the heat that summer brings and having a relaxing day. I also really liked that we had our own kayaks and not on a large float with other people. It's also really nice to not be surrounded by hundreds of tourist in Moab and on the Colorado River. This felt more private and secluded. All in all a great summer activity that anyone can enjoy.

My wife and I took a Arch Canyon all day tour with Wild Expeditions and ended up with a private tour, just my wife, the guide and I. Our guide, Wes was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable of the local history, geography, and geology applicable to the tour up through the canyon. Before we left we were able to discuss our interests and he was able to customize some of our tour time to see more of what we wanted most to see. Overall this was an amazing tour and excellent experience during our time in southeast Utah in October 2023.

Our float trip down the San Juan with Marley (our guide) was utterly amazing. We were intent on seeing the unforgettable pictograph panel in Lower Butler Wash but did not have a vehicle that could handle the road and were not up for the long hike over sand with numerous water crossings. Wild Expeditions had been highly recommended by hikers I met in the Grand Canyon. We planned a guided kayak trip but with Wild Expedition's (Brock's) advice, changed to a float trip in a 12 foot raft as the San Juan was at nearly ten times its usual flow because of a recent storm. Marley expertly guided the raft down river and shared his abundant knowledge of the area's geology and archaeology. We met Brock for lunch at the pull out and he showed us River House and other sites. Marley, who lives in the area, also recommended great places to visit, such as Goosenecks State Park, Valley of the Gods and the Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum in Blanding, which we would have missed. The trip was entertaining and enlightening. We’re forever grateful to Marley and Brock for this memorable experience.

If you are staying at Bluff Resort (or anywhere near!) the expeditions offered by Wild Adventures are an incredible way to experience the local landscape and enjoy an amazing time! We selected the sunset tour of The Valley of the Gods with our guide Eli and we loved it so much! Eli picked us up directly at the hotel and and we hopped in the vehicle thoughtfully packed with additional bottles of water, snacks and deckchairs and blankets for the top of the mountain where we would watch the sun set :-). We drove out via Comb Ridge with Eli sharing really interesting stories about the history and culture of the region. We arrived in the middle of the Valley of the God’s, marvelling at what looked like a lost city with rock structures that resembled the Parthenon, a castle, a cathedral. After a couple of photo stops we started to climb the Moki Dugway reaching the summit in plenty of time to take in the stunning views from the top out to The Valley of the Gods, Goosenecks State Park, Monument Valley on the horizon and Navajo Mountain. The sunset was so beautiful. We appreciated Eli‘s knowledge and kind personable approach so much. He is a very talented guide. Don’t miss it if you are in the area!

Did the day trip from Sand Island to River House and it was amazing. The San Juan is beautiful, our group was small, and the kayaks comfortable. Elle and Raquel were the best!! Elle was a great guide to have on the river, very friendly with great stories of the area, and made our trip enjoyable. Racquel was just as awesome and gave us lots of info about River House, the region, and handled the hummer like a pro on the dirt roads. I highly recommend booking a trip with Wild Expeditions!
