Things to know before you go. Its very, very noisy. So if you expect to have great conversations with your party members, think again. Also while we all enjoyed the alcoholic ciders, later we all had hammering headaches that lasted all night. $21 DOLLARS for a 12 inch pizza!! Burger and fries were great, but the fried needed salt. Deviled eggs with tomato goo were very off, try again chef. CJ the waiter was great. Plan on spending $200 for four. Ouch!

We hosted our wedding day at Wilson's Ciderhouse & Venue and I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about the staff, the facility, the food, or the atmosphere. The ceremony location is breathtaking on it's own, add on top of that the ability to walk to the flower fields to take photos and everything is just so stunning. The venue manager, waitstaff and bartenders were incredibly kind and attentive and our guests couldn't stop raving about their food. I'd highly recommend having your big day here!

I had my wedding at Wilson’s and was so glad I did! My top priorities in choosing a wedding venue were 1) being able to have great food and drinks 2) beautiful surroundings and 3) convenience. Wilson’s knocked it out of the park on all three. They offer a full-service bar and can make all kinds of classic and signature cocktails. We got so many compliments on the quality of the drinks at our wedding (and the guests definitely seemed to enjoy them)! The food was delicious, portions were large, and was served warm. It was so nice to not have to worry about finding separate caterers, bartenders, or renting tables, chairs, flatware, etc. since Wilson’s provides all of that as part of the venue rental. The staff is experienced in hosting weddings and was helpful during the planning process. Many of my vendors mentioned Wilson’s was one of, if not their absolutely favorite venue in Eastern Iowa due to how beautiful it is and how knowledgable the staff are. Highly recommend Wilson’s to anyone considering getting married in the Iowa City area!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Wilson's Cider House for the first time, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The standout feature of my visit was undoubtedly the attentive and friendly wait staff, who made us feel welcomed from the moment we stepped in. Their professionalism truly enhanced the dining experience.

The drinks were spot-on, perfectly crafted to complement our meal. Whether it was a refreshing cocktail or a crisp glass of wine, each sip added to the enjoyment of Mother’s Day brunch.

Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply delicious. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor and made with quality ingredients. It's evident that the kitchen takes pride in their craft, and it certainly paid off in the taste.

However, there's one aspect that could use some fine-tuning. While the concept of family-style dining is appealing, there was a slight discrepancy in the portion sizes communicated to us. The waitress mentioned that most main dishes would comfortably serve three people, but in reality, it felt a bit inadequate for the price point.

In conclusion, my first visit to Wilson's Cider house left me impressed overall. With exceptional service, delectable drinks, and mouthwatering food. Addressing the portion size issue when offering family-style dining would elevate the experience even further, making it a definite go-to spot for both locals and visitors alike. I look forward to returning.

Gorgeous old barn, rustic, yet industrial atmosphere. Chairs are more comfortable than they look. I loved the grasses used for decoration, but some in group had bad allergies, so we had to dine and leave as they were having bad reactions. Apple cider donuts fresh and warm were excellent, but Cherry turnover blew us all away, such delicate tender crust and bright tangy cherry , gasp. Everyone enjoyed their meals and sharing them with each other to co.pete who had the better brunch. I do think we all agreed that the grits and mushrooms may have been the top seed!

As a wedding photographer, I absolutely adore working with the Wilson's Ciderhouse staff. They are always so wonderful, caring, and considerate of our mutual couples. The space is gorgeous, both inside and out. Their food is always beyond amazing and I'm not just saying that because I'm starving by the time dinner is served at a reception. Truly, it's so good. I highly, highly recommend this venue to couples wanting both the beauty of rolling hills and lush trees as well as modern barn and wood textures.

Delicious food. Fast friendly service. NIce selection of drinks. Many uniquely prepared options. I had the "Local Veg Toast" and was pleasantly surprised to get a generous portion of arugula with delicious dressing included with the fresh bread toasted and a perfectly poached egg on top. Also ordered at our table and shared was the "Fried Tofu Sandwich" —really great breading used to fry the tofu to perfection. Would make a nice appetizer to share. Our friends ordered the Belgian Waffle which was topped with candied nuts and fresh fruit. Delicious. Would be a perfect desert shared with four people. The other item ordered was the "Breakfast Sandwich" but requested without the bread for a perfectly delicious low-carb option. The scrambled cheesy eggs were fluffy and tasty. They should teach culinary courses. Very innovative. The solid wood beams and high ceiling create a nice space with many windows to see the rolling hills and trees surrounding the area. It's centrally located and a short enjoyable scenic drive for most people in the area.
