Beautiful piece of countryside!
The Star Grazing event was well run. A Great time.
I found the horse shoe shaped layout a bit daunting, as parking was around the bend & required a 3/8th mile walk . Which was more difficult due to the rough road surface. And magnified by huge stones & gravel. Returning at night was def tricky!!
I could wish the operators would install a bridge thru the wooded , though steep gap between the ends of the "Horseshoe" .
The many paths here & there with nice clearings & interesting mounds were outstanding. The staff were well equipped & very helpful, onsite food was OK. All in all a fine place to spend time at.

Stargazer Cannabis Festival July 26th through the 28th 2024. If you ever get a chance to go to an event at this campground make sure you have sensible shoes, sandals will not work and barefoot will not work, you will be hurting the first day of walking around.

Amazing stone road wooded rough camping with a few amenities but a lot of beauty. The trees are huge and healthy and the pond is a delight. There are a few buildings that are comfortable places to hang out. The people who run the campground improve it every year! And I go every year!

I recently had the pleasure of attending the 44th Starwood Festival at the Wisteria Event Site and Campground. The festival, renowned for its unique blend of music, workshops, and community spirit, was set against the backdrop of the Wisteria site, which offers a distinctively primitive camping experience. This setting, while basic in its amenities, provided an authentic and engaging environment that contributed to the overall charm of the event.

The Wisteria Event Site is known for its rustic nature, lacking some of the more modern infrastructure found at other campgrounds. This was evident from the moment I arrived. The site does not offer full camping infrastructure such as permanent bathroom facilities or a wide array of electric hookups. Instead, it embraces a more natural and simplistic approach to camping, which many attendees, including myself, found refreshing and immersive.

One of the notable features of the Wisteria site is the availability of shower facilities. These are located at the office, which is about 1 to 1.5 miles away from the two main areas of the event. While this distance may seem inconvenient at first, it actually added to the sense of adventure and community. Walking to the showers provided an opportunity to interact with fellow festival-goers, share experiences, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.

Water accessibility, a crucial aspect of any camping trip, was adequately addressed at Wisteria. There are about 4 to 6 freshwater spigots strategically placed around the site. These spigots ensured that attendees had ready access to clean water for drinking, cooking, and basic hygiene needs. Although the distribution of these spigots required a bit of walking depending on your campsite's location, it was manageable and did not detract from the overall experience.

A key concern for many campers is the availability of bathroom facilities. While I did not come across any permanent bathroom structures at Wisteria, the event organizers had thoughtfully provided more than enough portable toilets. These portable toilets were well-maintained throughout the festival, ensuring that attendees had access to clean and functional facilities. The presence of these portable toilets, or "protopodites" as they were humorously referred to by some attendees, significantly contributed to the comfort and convenience of the camping experience.

Despite the primitive nature of the Wisteria site, the sense of community and the vibrant atmosphere of the Starwood Festival more than made up for any perceived inconveniences. The festival itself was a rich tapestry of music, workshops, and communal activities that brought people together in a meaningful way. The rustic setting of Wisteria enhanced this sense of camaraderie, encouraging attendees to embrace the simplicity and reconnect with nature and each other.

Overall, my experience at the 44th Starwood Festival at the Wisteria Event Site and Campground was truly memorable. The primitive camping environment, while different from more developed sites, offered a unique and enjoyable experience. The availability of essential amenities like shower facilities, fresh water spigots, and well-maintained portable toilets ensured a comfortable stay. The sense of community and the engaging festival activities made this an event I would highly recommend and look forward to attending again.

Not bad at all it was really fun not a bad place to get out the place and see the sites my favorite part was seeing the Amish on there buggy and horses very nice time I had

Many site upgrades from last year. PawPaw is more accessible and other areas are improved as well. Rinse-off showers and cooling mist stations have been added to the high traffic areas.

I can't fully capture in words how incredible this sacred place and her caretakers are. I shed many tears in the literal and figurative arms of this community on my first of what I know will be many more visits. The first rule of camping is to leave the grounds better than you found them. Camp here, and the grounds will leave YOU better than they found you. Thank you, Wisteria family, we will be home again soon.

The land out there has a calm feeling to it.
