The resort is very nice with lots of activities. Our suite|was roomy and well stocked for cooking if needed. |There were many deer on the grounds.|We were encouraged to attend the WorldMark Vacation Club|but we were not interested in that. Everyone was very nice.

Overall, a great place for a relaxing getaway. Definitely not big city living, and that is what made it special. The unit (1 bedroom) met our needs, although there was a kitchen cabinet door in need of repair. Very happy with the back porch grill! We had 2 great evenings grilling, enjoying CA wine, and talking to the deer on the back porch.

This is a huge resort with everything you need. Very clean, friendly staff. The pools are clean and very nice! Amenities are plentiful, and the wildlife is a huge bonus. Awesome air condition for hot summer days. Second time staying here in 4 years, and I loved it both times. Highly recommend.

Both Club Wyndham and Worldmark have units at this property, and the sales office can sell both. As usual, there's pressure to attend an "update," which is always a sales pitch, and, as usual, the sales pitch takes longer than promised. This standard Wyndham practice is very disrespectful of owners (and other customers). But we mostly enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean, quiet, and comfortable, although the upstairs was significantly warmer than the main floor. We enjoyed watching deer from the back balcony. And it's just a short drive to Murphys, which has several nice tasting rooms!

Rooms were big and clean! Comfortable beds, the walls are magically soundproof which was awesome with little kids.
There were deer outside every morning that were not shy about walking right up to us. People feed them fruit and veggies and there were people hand feeding them.
The lodge was fun and the pool was awesome with a really cool 1.5 foot pool for Littles.

We (two couples) had 5 days in mid September, 2024 and had a wonderful time. It was lovely on the golf course, although none of us golf. We really enjoyed the area; one day we drove to Yosemite (less crowded during weekday), Calaveras Trees State Park for a day; Black Chasm cave (four local cave options - each with different times of the week available); and wine tasting at several wineries (just not available Wednesdays in off-season), At the property, we used the jacuzzis/pool (it was great to have multiple on the property) and I played pickleball for the first time! In regards to our rooms, the other room was two single beds but the resort accommodated that by converting the bed for us. The coffee decanter was initially cracked/leaked but they replaced it. I had expected the wi-fi to be included in our room but we had to pay a fee.

Booked a 2-bedroom suite months in advance for a family vacation. Needed a 2-bedroom over a 1-bedroom to fit the whole family in, have young kids. Paid significantly more for a 2-bedroom as one can imagine. Called a couple weeks before we left for vacation to confirm all our hotels and other reservations. WorldMark Angels Camp said absolutely we have you down for the 2-bedroom that you booked online. Perfect. We arrive and check in. No 2-bedrooms are available they said. We instead had to fit the whole family in a 1-bedroom, meaning people had to sleep on the floor for multiple nights. How hospitable. Called a few weeks after vacation when I had some time to get some resolve on the situation. Spoke with some old lady who did absolutely nothing to fix the problem and was obviously in over her head at the job, completely inept and does not know business or the hospitality industry. Went on and on about how it was someone else's fault, not theirs, how great they were, and how sorry they were for the situation and that it never happens. Reading other reviews it seems to happen more often than she said, so thanks for being honest about that, too. Eventually said she would check with someone else to see if they could remedy the situation more than just saying they were sorry a bunch, regardless of the fact I paid for something and did not receive it. She called back well over a week later and left me a voicemail saying she had a resolution for me. Called her back a couple days later (mind you she never gave me her direct number, just the front desk and had to be patched through to her office), and after ringing for a couple minutes it transferred back to the front desk. She has no voicemail set up. It's 2024 and she's in the hospitality business and doesn't have voicemail set up on her phone. Again, over her head, incompetent at her job. Leave a message for her with the front desk (carrier pigeon style), never calls back. A week later some other guy calls and basically is a broken record of what she sounded like...not their fault, so sorry, never happens because they're so awesome. Says sorry a bunch, doesn't actually provide any concrete solutions to the problem. Finally get to the point that I realize they have no intelligent people working at their entire establishment nor do they know what customer service is. Or simple business law. I have a lot of experience traveling and have Ambassador status with the big hotels, making me well aware of what good customer service is like in the hospitality industry. This place has none of it. I am curious when the family lawyer finally has time to reach out to them if they change their tune. Almost not even worth it but I'm just more curious at this point as to if there is anyone in their entire organization that takes care of customers. Time will tell.

We have stayed at WorldMark Angels Camp many times and have never been disappointed. It is our base from which we explore other areas, such as the town of Murphy, Calaveras Big Trees SP, Lake Alpine and more. At the end of our day we relax poolside and later have wine on our terrace with views of the hills and nature at our doorstep.
