Bad experience with the owner. Sunday night before we leave in the morning to start our vacation, we notice a $193 charge to our credit card. I called the owner and attempted to have a calm discussion with him, he blew up 3 times and apologized twice. In dispute was the application, nowhere is it stated that there is a pet fee, only a request to list number of pets. If you dig into special notes, you can find the fee, which is unusually high. Twice Ryan asked me if I wanted to cancel and would lose my $500 that was paid . He continued to interrupt me while I was talking, I finally asked him to stop so I can explain myself, it didn't last long. The can opener is broken, toilet seat is loose, and the noisy fountain runs continuously weather you like it or not, we would prefer quiet, put it on a timer off at night. WILL NOT BE BACK.

We booked 3 cabins for a family gathering. My husband and I stayed in the Lake Cabin which was clean upon arrival. The bed is soft and the pillows very thick. Check hot tub temp when you get there because it wasn't until I took the cover off to get in that I discovered it was set on 80 degrees. There was no swim platform in the lake but plenty of fish to catch. The only really negative part of our stay was having to listen to the guy across the lake cuss and verbally abuse his children ALL afternoon. We would stay again.

This was an amazing weekend getaway at Cedar House! My friends and I had a great time. There is a well-stocked lake that it sits on with a fire pit and kayak that are available to use. The house itself was so cozy and what everything we needed. A huge plus of having a full house of that there were 20+ towels which is so nice because of a big group and a hot tub. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There are two decks on this house which was so great. The view is unreal. Old Man Cave and a few other notable sights are within 20 mins. We Weill definitely be back soon!

This was the best little getaway. The cabins are off the road and spaced a decent amount apart! I loved my view of the lake and a covered hot tub. I also was 25 mins away from hocking hills in one direction and 25 mins away from a Walmart in the other.

Great place for a romantic getaway. My girlfriend and I had a great time and plan to return. In the country but still close enough to go out to eat or grocery shopping. The large pond has fish in it and there is a canoe you can use. My dog also loved it here

This place has become our family's place to unplug, and unwind. Each time we go, we stay a little longer. Love waking up and having a cup of coffee on the swing, and listing to nature. From the beautiful views, lake stocked with fish, and the sounds of nature we can't get enough. The company is easy to work with, and couldn't ask for a better place to get away for a week or weekend. It's also only about a 15 minute drive to Old Man's Cave. This has now become our home away from home.

Cabin was as described. Well stocked, close to Hocking Hills hiking trails, and seemed to be in good repair.||There were some issues which I was willing to overlook, until the host was rude and disrespectful.||There was an issue with bugs, we had to remove about 10 stink bugs, gently relocating them outside. It’s understandable to see a bug or two, however with that amount it left some people feeling uneasy about the cleanliness of the cabin.||One of the amenities that drew me to this property was the hot tub on the covered porch.|Unfortunately we were unable to use the hot tub one out of the two nights. It was 66° upon check in time, and when I contacted the host, he explained that it had just been cleaned that day. Even by 1 am the first night, it had only reached 98°. We had a weekend reservation, which are set at a higher premium price, and yet the hot tub couldn’t have been scheduled to be cleaned during the week, when it may have been empty or during a less expensive booking? ||Another issue we had is one of our friends cars got stuck. The driveway is basically an incredibly steep hill, and it had been raining the whole week prior to our arrival. The host suggested we contact a tow company. We eventually had to have the car professionally towed, on the car owner’s own dime. We didn’t expect the host to pay for it, but it was an inconvenience, a damper on vacation, and an apology would have been nice, at the very least some understanding that this happened wasn’t anyone’s fault.|The host became angry and accused us of damaging his grounds, and was mad that we hired a tow company, when it was his suggestion The problem clearly wasn’t our fault as it was out of our control.||Do not stay here, anything that happens, you may get the blame for.

Beautiful, wooded, serene plot of land with cabins spaciously laid out in a variety of occupancies depending on the number in your party. Decks with hot tubs, a pond with catch/release policy, canoes. Plenty of wildlife to view. Will stay there again.
