We just did a half-day trip with Zephyr on the Merced as a side trip when we were visiting Yosemite. We had an absolute blast! Everybody at Zephyr was friendly, fun, and clearly very experienced, and they made it one of the best days of our trip. Franz was our guide and he was awesome. And the photos the photographers took of our family were fantastic and extremely well-priced for how many you got! I, my husband, and our 3 teen daughters all had a great time and it was a true highlight of our vacation -- highly recommend!

Our family really loved our half day adventure down the Merced River with Zephyr Whitewater rafting. The views were breathtaking, and the rapids did not disappoint. Our kid, ages 12-19 all had the best time... and we felt they operate with a lot of precautions and safety measures. Probably one of our most memorable experiences as a family. Heather was funny, knowledgeable and great as our guide... the whole staff, from the shuttle driver, to the Kayak safety (Gordy), to Dane (who gave us our instructions) were wonderful. Also, kudos to the photographer who took great action shots, and organized them by rapid... I didn't expect such great photos but these were really, really good.

We did the Merced River half day tour and it was a blast. The rapids were more fun than expected and far better than the east coast. The guides, especially ours (Bhodi) were very informative and kept things fun the whole time. Highly recommended!

This was a great rafting experience, being my second overall and first in California, I'd definitely recommend this outfitter.

I originally was going to be booking a Tuolumne river single day trip but it didnt end up fitting into our schedule on this trip so I looked into the Merced. This company's half day trip was around $50 cheaper than the other company I looked at (OARS) and is MUCH closer to the Put-In point.

We got there early and chatted with Corey for a bit and got situated. Next thing we know, the shuttle bus shows up and has two folks who were part of our scheduled trip but had gotten a flat on their drive in that morning, not only did a Zephyr shuttle driver bring them in, they went on the raft trip and Corey then helped them get their spare installed and on their way, this is a great outfit for sure.

On our actual trip, our guide was Kali and she was amazing. She narrowly avoided a beer fine when we got snagged up on some rocks but used her brute strength and got us unstuck even though you would have thought we were all going to die based on Terrence's face!

Kali had lots of great stories for us along the ride and kept us safe since some of the boat wanted it that way lol.

I'd highly recommend this place, great crew, prices and location, try it out!

Took a half day trip with Zephyr down the Merced River with Carson. He was awesome and so cool! Zephyr treated us well and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to go on a trip.
