Ashley and the ladies at North State Events have always been a treat to work along side with.
They have an exceptional eye for detail and do such amazing work. A couple things that pop in my mind with this company is their ability to pivot under pressure. I can think of two weddings in particular that we shared clients with, where the couples had to change their entire locations within days of their wedding day! Which sounds like it would be a catastrophic thing to happen for our couples, BUT these ladies made the changes that needed to be made and still pulled of an incredible event for their clients. That is experience and professionalism all in one basket if you ask me.

My family and I had the pleasure of working with North State events for our wedding this May. I could not have asked for a better wedding planner than Ashley Smith. Everything went smoothly because of her and her team. She was well organized, keeping us on track every step of the way and she had a great attention to detail. From phone calls, in person meetings, and zoom calls, she was professional, fun, and did a great job at anticipating potential problems that would arise. Ashley made the wedding planning process so easy and enjoyable.

She contacted our vendors and was great at figuring out all the small details that go along with having a big wedding. From catering, buses, deliveries, and the band, Ashley was instrumental in coordinating our wedding and making it run seamlessly.

Ashley, Jennifer, and Katherine were our event team for the day of the wedding. They made us feel extremely supported throughout the whole wedding day from start to finish. Everything was set up on time and they were great at communicating and making sure our timeline was followed. They were so well organized and professional which kept the stress low for the wedding day.

I highly recommend Ashley at North State Events as your wedding planner or any big event you may have; I do not think there is a better person or team for weddings. They will guide you through the process, communicate with vendors, and work hard to bring your vision to life. I want to say a huge thank you to Ashley and her team for everything they did! Our wedding would not have been as smooth or amazing as it was without them.

We cannot thank North State Events, and specifically Ashley Smith, enough for how they helped our wedding come together and flow effortlessly on the big day. I am still in awe of how seamlessly our day emerged, how much peace and joy I felt on the day, and how supported and looked after I felt. I owe a HUGE part of this to Ashley Smith, who had our backs throughout the entire process, and was organized down to the smallest detail.

We met Ashley through a family connection and had coffee with her months before we knew we’d be connecting again. I instantly felt confident in her from our very first interaction. In the months to follow, we would share texts and emails back and forth, and eventually began Zoom meetings to work out details and wedding timelines. We always left our meetings with more assurance and trust - Ashley thought of everything and had all bases covered. It is incredibly worth the investment to have someone dealing with timeline, transportation and arrival times, and day-of details. We worried about very little (besides the storm we just nearly missed!) on our wedding day. Ashley had the entire event running smoothly and on time, constantly checking up on family members and vendors to ensure everyone was where they needed to be and if they were doing okay. Ashley even checked up on us throughout dinner, seeing if we needed anything and giving us timeline updates. And when my somebody accidentally misplaced my father’s reception speech, she came to the rescue!

If you are considering whether or not you need an event coordinator, do not walk...run to North State Events and you will find an incredibly competent and caring team of people. My daughter's wedding was only about a month away and we contacted them to help us as we realized we needed someone to help us finish up the event and allow us to enjoy the day. Ashley, Skyler, and Katherine were a 10/10 in every way. I got to enjoy the rehearsal, wedding, and they thought of asking questions I hadn't even considered. Anything I needed or recommended, Skyler and Katherine took into consideration and did everything to make it all happen.
You cross your fingers and hope you made the right decision and that personalities will mesh for such an important event. I will say they went beyond anything we could have hoped for and we even made a couple of friends along the way.

We connected with Ashley at North State Events 3 days before our wedding in desperate need of a new venue. After hearing our story, she wasted no time in connecting with a new venue in town they were working with that hadn’t even opened yet. The Westport was due to open in a few weeks but they were gracious enough to open their doors and hearts to us early. I don’t have enough words about what a blessing that was. Not only was the venue absolutely breathtaking, the North State Event team handled every single thing that needed to happen, taking the stress off our plate.
