If you’re on the edge, just do it!! I choose this as part of our California adventure for our second honeymoon. My husband was on the edge of his seat for the first 10 minutes we arrived at the dunes. I thought it was thrilling and amazing!!

Our driver was top notch, experienced, friendly, checked on everyone, and knew exactly where to go. Even with the dunes filled with people, he was courteous to others, and informative about the dunes themselves.

All in all, it’s an experience like no other. Just do it - you won’t regret it.

Had a great tour with just 3 of us. Our driver was knowledgeable and accommodating. We went on a day when there were very few people out on the dunes so the driver had a lot of free range which led to a lot of fun. If you get motion sick easily, sit towards the front as the back is much more bumpy. 2/3 of us got sick but once they moved up, they felt better, and the driver slowed down.

Highly recommended activity if you are in Oceano Dunes. It was so much fun. Schedule your reservation via email. Arrive early so you get to pick your seat (5 seats). Best seat is in the back. You can pay cash or credit card the day of your appt. You meet at the parking lot of Rock and Roll diner. Bring your great attitude, sunscreen, sunglasses, tighten your baseball cap and enjoy the ride. We drove our own off road 4×4 truck and we wouldn't be able to go where they go so this is one of the best way to enjoy the dunes. Worth every penny. Our driver is amazingly friendly and informative.

Our family had the best day out on the dunes today! We brought our two daughters (5 and 9) and they laughed and had their hands in the air the entire time. You can choose as wild of a ride as you are comfortable with, which was awesome. We went up steep hills, surfed the sides of bowls, rode on ridges, went down drop offs. Our driver was fantastic and made the day really fun. We will definitely be back!

This was hands down a once in a lifetime experience and it ended up being the highlight of our 9 day road trip vacation. Husband & I took our 10 and 17 year old daughters and everyone had a blast. 17 year old who refuses to ride a roller coaster and gets car sick easily, among other things, was a trooper, worked through it and absolutely loved it in the end.

Our driver was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, attentive to how we were doing and SKILLED at driving the dunes! The experience you get on this adventure is unparalleled - you would NOT get to experience the thrill or exhilaration of riding the dunes if you went out on your own.

If you absolutely cannot do roller coasters, this may not be for you as the jolt of endorphins mixed with the speed, bumps, and driving in all directions may be hard to handle for an extended span of time. However, if you can work through it like our daughter, I guarantee you will not regret it!! This was an investment in a family experience that undoubtedly has given us great memories and stories to share for many years - BEYOND WORTH IT!

Amazing experiance. Would highly reccomend to anyone wanting to experiance the dunes. Our driver Laci was amazing, and handled the vehicle very professionaly. Not a boring tour, more like a live roller coaster. We went with small kids, and were unable to rent a utv, and did this tour instead. Best decision ever.

This was a great family alternative to explore the dunes of Pismo Beach. We had a blast, but also felt completely safe knowing we were being driven around by an expert driver with no chance of getting lost. It was the highlight of our trip and better than any roller coaster!
