Wonderful stay at Vic in the Vines!! The house has everything. Fun times playing darts and shuffleboard in the barn. The pool was awesome. Being in the vines was especially cool for a Napa vacation. The house is furnished as a luxury home. Close to Calistoga and many wineries. Also plenty of privacy. Would stay here again next visit. Hosts were very attentive and responsive for check in and were nice enough to mail us a camera charger we left behind!! Thank you!

From my first Mayastoga website visit to the final moments at the Anderson House, a top notch property selection, product presentation and property management by the people of this company consistently came through. My wife and I and two other couples absolutely loved the house and the expansive property around it. Both were so accommodating of separate quiet times and visiting in small and large groups. We deeply enjoyed the essential wine country experience provided with creekside, vineyard and mountain views and a very intelligent layout inside and out. All of that combined with exceptional attention to design details to take great advantage of the site’s many opportunities. The clean, fresh smells of a well-maintained property with consistent elements of comfort and good function supported our extraordinary experience, in addition to the friendly and efficient service. Finally, THE BEDS AND BEDDING WERE TRULY GREAT! Thank you!

When you book a $2500/night home you expect a certain level of service and quality of home - we did not experience either. The home was beautiful and private, but needed quite a bit of maintenance. Some door handles were broken, the paint was peeling, the decks were falling apart, the faucets leaked, etc.

Mayastoga themselves were subpar in all aspects. They sent the invoice with payment options, we paid via check and let them know, and immediately were told no checks and that we could only pay via ACH (which was not even listed as a payment option). Later, they claimed we hadn't paid despite the two payment confirmations sent to them. The codes to enter the property that were given to us were incorrect. We confirmed an early arrival with Mayastoga, and upon arrival we were confronted by the landscapers who had us call the owner who was not notified of (nor happy with) our early arrival. On the day of departure the maintenance crews, cleaning crew, and pool cleaner all showed up before 9am (checkout is 11am).

It's unfortunate that such a wonderful property is not being managed properly.

We stayed here 4 nights for a large extended family get together. It was perfect for what we wanted. We had 19 family members and there were very comfortable beds and accommodations for everybody. The compound was remote — which is what we wanted.

The grounds are spacious, varied and spread out, so everybody could explore or gather as they choose. There are lots of places where people could hang out and talk. We spent a lot of time around the pool, with kids running about while the adults could sit and chat in 4 separate areas where they can still see the pool, or all together. The pool was really nice with the waterfall. The water was cool, which was perfect for the summer hot weather and the spa was perfectly warm for a good contrast.

The furnishings were amazing. It was very clear that whoever furnished the place wanted very high quality furnishings. Cost was clearly not a concern for whoever bought the furnishings. The kitchen was completely stocked with an abundance of everything needed for a high quality kitchen. Again, all the appliances, plates glasses, utensils, knives, silverware and everything needed were there and were clearly top of the line. It was actually surprising that they entrusted strangers to use very expensive glasses and China. We actually felt very protective of them to make sure no kids broke anything.

The systems such as A/C and the electronic switches and controls are complex, but were easy for me since I love a fully electronic home and have much the same at my home. Somebody like my brother, who can’t figure out how to turn on any lights, open blinds, open windows or unlock doors at my home would be befuddled by the complexity.

The cost was high for the 5 days and 4 nights, but overall it was very good.

There are a couple of things that need improvement. The internet was dog slow, and this is a real issue for those who need to stay connected, since there was limited ATT cell coverage and no Verizon or TMobile coverage. There is a Starlink antenna on the roof, but we were not given access to it. We were on a family retreat, so we didn’t want everybody on their devices the whole time, so not a huge factor for us, but if you need to work remotely or communicate a lot with the outside world, this would be a big problem.

There needs to be more umbrellas for around the pool for the size of the groups who would utilize this place.

There is no setup currently for charging electric cars (although it looks like at least one is being built — but not done yet), so if people have electric cars, they should charge up ahead of time.

The outside landscape lighting is everywhere on the huge multi-acre lot which is very nice, but the controls for those are in an electronic system that is password protected, so we had no access to it and the lights were on 24/7. We were concerned for the electric costs — even though we weren’t paying for it. I can sort of see why they would want to control it and not let guests mess with it, but if they trust us with extremely expensive glassware and furnishings, I would have thought they would trust us to turn off the lights.

Overall, it was expensive, but very nice and was perfect for what we wanted.

This house was absolutely perfect for our trip to Bottlerock. While The house is gorgeous, the beds are comfy, the pool is awesome and the property manager was so kind. My only advice to the owner would be to have 6 lounge chairs at the pool (the house sleeps 6 but there were only 4 lounge chairs) but that didn't take away from the one day we hung out at the pool all day. 100% recommend this house!

Our stay at The Vic In The Vines was really terrific. The property is beautiful. The house is wonderfully decorated and very, very nice. Mayastoga made the process very simple and checked on us during our stay to make sure all was well. I couldn't have been more pleased and we will definitely be staying here on our next visit to Napa.

Wonderful stay! The place we stayed at in Calistoga was a bit removed, and we loved it for that - it was very quiet/peaceful. The house itself had everything in it you could need (kitchen stocked with pots/pans etc.), bedding was super comfortable/cozy, the pool was wonderful (the remote/automatic cover was pretty awesome). Arthur was very responsive, and I had all the information on accessing the house etc. ahead of our arrival. Everything was exactly as pictured. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing retreat!

We stayed in this awesome house for a couples group get away. The home is perfectly located a block from shopping and restaurants. The bedrooms are large, beds comfy, bathrooms beautiful. The pool area is great for dinners and swim. The house is tastefully decorated in Restoration Hardware and quality finishes. All eight of us loved everything about this wonderful home. If you are looking for a central location in a darling town, this is the spot for you.
