Its very clean and cold during the winter. Price is $10 per person that is fishing. Your limit is 5. They stock this lake almost every week. The guy next to us caught like 7. I had no bites. He was using a spoon looking luer. It was fun.

There's been an algae bloom since about a week ago. It's progressively gotten worse. The smaller fish are getting choked out. As I walked around the lake, several visitors were also commenting on the condition of the lake. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone can do anything about it. Hope it clears up soon.

This is a follow-up from the previous posting: I drove by the lake a few days ago, and the condition of the water looks well improved. When next I'm by there, I'll take and post updated pics. I hope to spread good news of our beautiful lake. Ciao for now, Peace be with y'all!

This park is the perfect getaway from the city for a weekend. I came with some friends after renting a nearby AirB&B from Friday evening till Sunday at noon. We got here early (like 10am) and we had rented a motorized boat well in advance. If you're going to skip the water park part, like we did, and you already paid for your boat reservation, you can just skip paying at the gate (you explain to them that you're not going to the Waterpark part of the park) and skip getting a wristband, since it's not needed for the boat ride part. The lake itself is so peaceful, there are people doing all sorts of activities, like kayak, rowboat, and even paddleboarding. The nearby town (Crestline) is like a piece of rural North Carolina, in California, so it definitely qualifies as an interesting experience.

We really enjoy taking our kids to Lake Gregory. They learned at a young age how fish and they love it there. There are paths so you can easily hike around the lake and find a perfect place to fish. I also see that they have a beach area with floating activities for the whole family to enjoy. That is our next stop!

It has beautiful views saw many butterflies, blue Jay birds , ducks and some gorgeous Hawks in the sky just wonderful nature site scene.

A really nice lake to relax and unwind, fish, or kayak/paddle board/etc.
There is a pavilion on the lake where there is a small cafe, and you can rent paddle boats or row boats.
There is also a water slide park on one end of the lake with a small beach, a dog park, another beach with restrooms, and plenty of parking. You will have to pay for parking with the ParkMobile app. All day parking costs about $7 or $8.
There are grocery stores and restaurants close by, too.

First time visiting Lake Gregory and we loved it. Such a beautiful place, the Greenery scenes of the pine trees, the mountains just Soo beautiful ? very much recommend

I like the park well enough but it's super crowded on nice weekends. Not sure I would eat fish out of that water or even swim in it, but it's a nice place to hang out. We rented an electric boat for an hour and that was super fun, we had food with us and we drove her on the lake and ate lunch.
