Casa de Monte Vista is a hidden gem that exceeded every expectation we had. My wife and I were looking for a place that offered both luxury and a unique, personal touch—and this place delivered on all fronts. After hearing rave reviews from a friend who had their wedding here, we knew we had to experience it for ourselves. Even with the high expectations set by their glowing praise and stunning photos, Casa de Monte Vista still managed to blow us away.

From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene beauty of the property. The blend of lush gardens, Spanish architecture, and mountain views created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and intimate. Each corner of the property seemed to tell its own story, full of charm and character that you won’t find in your typical high-end resort.

Joe, the host, was simply outstanding. His warmth and genuine care for his guests made us feel like we were staying with a dear friend rather than at a rental property. He was always available to offer recommendations or share a bit of local history, making our stay even more enriching.

What truly sets Casa de Monte Vista apart, though, is the way it makes you feel. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience that lingers long after you’ve left. We spent our days relaxing by the pool, wandering the beautifully landscaped grounds, and soaking in the peaceful desert atmosphere. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and already planning our return.

If you’re looking for a place that’s as enchanting as it is comfortable, with a host who treats you like family, Casa de Monte Vista is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Staying at Casa de Monte Vista was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we arrived, I knew this was going to be a special experience. A close friend had gotten married here and couldn’t stop raving about the place, so we decided to see what all the fuss was about. Let me just say, it exceeded every expectation we had—and then some!

The property itself is stunning, with beautifully manicured gardens, charming Spanish-style architecture, and the most breathtaking mountain views. It felt like we were stepping into a different world, one where time slows down, and all you can do is relax and enjoy the beauty around you. Our room was a perfect mix of cozy and luxurious, with every detail thoughtfully curated.

But what really made our stay unforgettable was Joe, the host. He welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like we were visiting an old friend. Joe’s warmth, kindness, and genuine hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, and his local recommendations were spot on.

Every day at Casa de Monte Vista was pure bliss. Whether we were lounging by the pool, enjoying the stunning desert sunsets, or just taking in the peaceful atmosphere, it was everything I could have hoped for and more. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to create memories that will last a lifetime. I can’t wait to come back and do it all over again!

Casa de Monte Vista is a paradise in paradise. This is a carefully curated living experience that will enhance your stay in Palm Springs! Consisting of numerous casita’s, all en-suite with kitchenettes and very individual interior design. All leading to an outdoor swimming pool with a fantastic backdrop of palm trees and mountains. The selection of trees, plants and flowers that roll around the site is like a magical garden, combined with consistent warm sunny weather, and the excellent hospitality of the host Joe, who is there for everything you need, makes this a very special place. A highly recommended experience and stay!

We just shared our elopement at this property, and were simply blown away. From the moment we began corresponding with Joe, we appreciated his responsiveness and style of communication with us. He was easy to work with and was beyond accommodating. He made it effortless to relax and enjoy ourselves in privacy and seclusion, and yet was available no matter the time of day or night to help us. He wants to give his guests a VIP experience, which is evident. The property is quiet and beautiful, a truly serene escape. The lush gardens and beautifully handcrafted artwork, woodwork, and artifacts from all over the world made us feel like we were far from anywhere familiar! We stayed in Casita Antigua and it was spotless. The bathroom and kitchen had some essentials like coffee, dishes, and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, and were immaculate. Joe provided us with an ironing board and iron when needed. The saltwater pool was clean and always warm, and Joe was eager to turn the 102 degree spa on for us whenever we asked. He was so friendly and welcoming and we just loved sharing our wedding experience with him! His staff were extremely discreet and professional while maintaining the grounds during our stay. It felt like a home away from home. The bed was spotless and comfortable and all bedding was fresh and clean. There was shelving and closet space for our clothes. The property has WiFi, TV with cable, and ample power outlets in the room. The views are incredible! The A/C was adjustable and worked perfectly. Pool access right off our room. Very historical vibe with modern conveniences throughout the property. All in all, we can't say enough amazing things about CDMV or Joe. We already can't wait to go back!

MAGICAL is the only word that comes to mind. My husband and I booked Casa de Monte Vista for our fall wedding and everything was perfect! The grounds are exquisitely manicured and set the tone and vibe for exactly what we were looking for. The owner, Joe, was very kind and accommodating to our needs and gave our guests staying on property a little history and detailed dos and donts while staying there. Joe is obviously very proud of the property, as he should be, so I suggest having the same respect and pride while staying here. The property itself is as if youre stepping into a secret garden oasis. Every where you look you will find a photo op or calming place to relax and reflect. Each casita is unique and it's like youre taking a step back in time! I would not recommend for a large wedding or a group of children but the venue is PERFECT for a small wedding, reception space, weekend get away, or girls trip. It is strategically set up for catering and beverage services that flow seamlessly tucked away from guests.

I see some negative comments regarding he owner and his involvement. We honestly did not mind Joe checking on things through out the wedding, again it was a matter of respect. My suggestion, meet with Joe before your event like we did and make sure you discuss what is acceptable at the property and what is not. It was made very clear to us that because it is in a residential area (Old Las Palmas - gorgeous), only one to two cars were allowed on property. We advised our guests to use ride share and had zero issues. He was very respectful and kind to us the entire time and we feel as though we made a friend In Palm Springs. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to others.

Thank you, Joe. Your hard work and dedication to your property allowed us to create a magical experience for our guests. See you soon!

We would drive past this property for years and gaze at the perfectly planted palm tree oasis from outside the gate. It’s a show-stopper of a venue, even from the street.  I never even dreamed that it was a wedding venue that would invite us inside! Upon entering through the gorgeous wood gate, all my senses were engaged. I was first met with a lush fountain when the most peaceful sound of water flowing opened my ears to hear more of nature nestled at home in this oasis. The gorgeous Spanish architecture, with inviting ornate and exotic treasures around every corner, I was caught up in the gorgeous greenery that is woven in every nook and cranny of the property, each corner showcasing a new piece of history and nature. It all seemed so natural, yet I knew it was curated with great care and design. I hardly even noticed that I stepped out of time. The natural beauty and awe of this place was an invitation back to the old Palm Springs glory days when Hollywood came to relax and celebrate. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see Liberace cross the grass or Lucille Ball floating in the pool. This is where Hollywood came to let down their hair & enjoy life as it was meant to be enjoyed. I was only here for a short 7-hour wedding day, and I left enamored.

Casa Monte Vista tells stories around every bend and invites you into its quarters, which have never tried to be anything other than what they have always been—a place to relax, savor, and celebrate.

And then I met Joe! Joe’s energy is one with the property. He comes in so calm and relaxed, wildly untamed yet unforced and somehow curated with great care, intention, and attention to detail. He was so hospitable and welcoming. He loves the property, and it shows as his eyes twinkle when he tells the stories of the life lived at Casa de Monte Vista.

I’ve been photographing weddings in the Palm Springs area for 18 years, and I had the best wedding meal of my life HERE! Under Chef Tony. Watching him and his team prepare dinner during cocktail hour at the bar was another unexpected treat. To watch Chef Tony season and LOVE the food he was preparing was a culinary experience for all the wedding guests. The food at a wedding typically happens behind the scenes and the dry chicken just appears on a plate at your table. But here, our noses were invited into each flavor, our eyes to see the measure of talent and care, and our taste buds met with anticipation as the meal was being cooked and seasoned. It was a really cool experience that my words are not bringing justice to.
An aspect to enjoying this food started with watching it be prepared. That also fits the era of the venue, back when life was simple, and food took time to prepare. I can still taste the trip-tip and green beans with mushroom gravy.

This venue was an experience. I felt like I was floating in a dream all night, and I cannot wait to go back. If you’re looking for the quintessential Palm Springs venue, Casa de Monte Vista is it!
