GREAT tranquil rustic spot for a GREAT deal. I travel through the area often and have found this gem. Clean rooms. Simple check in. Clean bathroom & Towels mini fridge etc. What a concept ! If only all places kept to this script. The location is very remote in general and that’s the appeal. Star gazing the best I’ve seen ever. WELL Worth staying here Vs Weaverville for 1/2 the room quality for 2x the price. I’ll happily stay here any day. So far stayed here 3 separate nights this week because I had to return. See y’all soon. And remember when checking in there’s a happy kind barking dog who loves pets and smelling you.

He did such a great job with the place! When I was a kid it was not so nice. It was great to be able to come back to my hometown and have a place to stay that was not only available but clean and nice! He made us feel welcome and at home, the beds were absolutely fantastic and the most comfortable hotel bed ever! I loved waking up in my mountains and my time back home. I want to go back home just to stay at the Lodge again!!!

If ever for any reason you make the wrong turn and end up in Hayfork, my thoughts and prayers are with you. But, there is 1 good thing about this episode of the Twilight Zone. The Lumberjack! I forget the managers name, this was a couple weeks ago.... I'm "that guy" that's gonna be obnoxious. I went in to check in without calling. Was greeted with a smile and asked, "can I help you". I started speaking the lyrics of Hotel California, I was cut off by him asking "if this was the shimmering light?" We went a couple rounds of Don Henleying while checking in. Thank you for the hospitality. Oh forgot to mention... The room was like a cabin, very nice and clean. With great wifi. Also bring a treat for the dog.

I wrote a review couple years back and have been back several times. Still accommodating, clean, friendly, with a home feel to the place. Owners have kept up on the many changes made and still has a fresh new feeling, not run down. Rarely stay at hotel's these days where i feel like i am on a vacation, and can relax. Perfect for all My out of town guests, affordable and flexable. Would like to see it open all year round.
