We loved staying at this home on our vaca to Northern California…. The home is beautiful and every little detail attended to. The view of the ocean and cozy outdoor seating area made our stay so relaxing. The interior is also nicely decorated and accommodating… the host even provided snacks and a multitude of games to play after a long day of exploring the area attractions. Thank you, Andy, for an excellent experience.

What a gem! This place was nice and cozy. Beautiful view of the river and the ocean. The hot tub was great and the robes were a great touch. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything to make meals. Its central was to Eureka and Trinidad where we did the Redwoods and Trillian Falls. There was a fireplace which was nice to look at but not needed for us in July. Great place for sure. If we ever come back to Northern CA we would stay here again.

Such a beautiful place! Hot tub was so nice with a cup of coffee in the morning and glass of wine in the evening. Gorgeous view of the ocean. Perfect location, hop skip and a jump to Eureka, Arcata or Trinidad. Andy is the perfect host and we had everything we needed. Will be back!!

This home is truly a jewel of the north coast - with breathtaking views that I never wanted to leave. The house is incredibly well stocked and equipped with everything a traveler could need - the attention to detail is impressive. Communication was seamless and overall it was a perfect stay - I will absolutely return when in this area.

The worst thing about this place is that eventually you will have to leave. It has everything you could possibly need and more. The beds are extremely comfortable, the house is clean and the view is unbelievable.

Andy's home was immaculate, and so comfortable, with an incredible view of the Mad River and the sea beyond. The seating over the river afforded us a great place to watch the world flow by. The garden seated area at the front of the house was lovely, there were even banana plants!!. We arrived in the Bomb Cyclone and Andy's home was a fantastic refuge from the storm. Andy was incredibly thoughtful and kind to us, the weather was atrocious and we needed to stay an extra night, which Andy organised, with grace , ease and a genoristy that we were not expecting. Its the perfect spot to explore the Redwoods, the Arcata wetlands, and the Manila/Samoa dunes. Thank you again for a wonderful, all be it very wet, stay!! 🙂

Could not have asked for a better experience staying at ocean’s edge. Stocked with everything you need, perfectly clean, accommodating owner and staff, breathtaking views, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen… this is my new home away from home when I visit my hometown of McKinleyville.
