I had not been to the Union Hotel in 20 years and I’m happy to report it’s not changed- which is good. Do you go here for a quite romantic night? I’d say no. But if you are in the mood for old school Italian great food and seeing generations of families enjoying being together this is the place.
Yummy breadsticks with butter are brought to your table just after being seated. I had their minestrone which was so flavorful and a nice fresh garden salad. My friends ordered the spaghetti and meatballs (dang those were some large meatballs) and said they were delicious.
Love the decor- candles dripping down wine bottles, checkered curtains and log cabin feel. Although it was insanely busy. The servers still made time for us. The outdoor holiday lights were well done.

Barbara and her family do such a good job welcoming friends and visitors, no one leaves a stranger ?
Service was so good, friendly and helpful. Food was perfect for our family. Big portions of pasta and pizza. Salads were crisp and delicious- everything very shareable.

Had a wonderful dinner at the Union Hotel Restaurant. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! The Caesar salad and bruschetta were delicious and we enjoyed the ravioli, spaghetti with meatballs and pizzas (combo and garlic gold) amongst our group. They set the kids up with pizza dough to play with, which kept them occupied until food came. Great experience!

This is a typical American small-town hotel with a bar and a restaurant. The lunch is so huge for anyone to finish. The food quality is good but short of outstanding. A very nice place for family gathering.

If you are on your way from SF to anywhere near Guerneville, or just driving by, you * HAVE * to make a stop at the Union Hotel Restaurant. This is a family owned place, for over a century, you will see all the family photos on the wall, the people are amazing, super friendly, incredibly hospitable. The food is really good, they also have a super cocktail bar, outdoors dining is very nice (even in the cold, with heating lamps - and perfect in covid times, you can totally social distance from other customers. The amazing food comes in huge portions (you can essentially keep the rest for your next meal). Also, they have a lot of really good products you can get from them, like cookies, granola (amazing!!!) and carrot cake. There is also a really nice indoors space with a grand piano, and a room you can rent for BDs!

Also, the owner, Barbara, has a book about the town. If you get the book (which you can get cat the store), you should totally get her to sign it for you!!!! Her family has been here for over 100 years, they have seen it all!

I think that they are nice because they give a lot of food and they are friendly. Also the fire places are warm and the hole restaurant is relaxing. They also get the bread warm out of the oven when you eat. And also they make the food really fast that is why i like union hotel restaurant!

Another Amazing lunch at the Union Hotel! The bruschetta and ravioli are a must! The carrot cake is the best in town! A beautiful rustic Italian atmosphere where everyone makes you feel like family!

Take out food & drinks available on some Saturdays and during the week.(I think) There's Outdoor seating with covered top. Prices are high but it's because occidental is a tourist town. Hamburger was flippin delish. Ravioli was good to

The food here is amazing, and the people are so sweet. I live 2 hours away and let me tell you I drive down just to have dinner here. I recommend if you are any where near the area, great for a date, with family or if you need a quiet night out alone or with friends. It is also kid friendly.
