Worth it! I was worried about the location being right off the main road into Ojai, but it is not bothersome at all. It’s a 2.5 miles walk into the main part of town, or a 5 minute drive. The quaint little hotel is set back from the road with lush greenery and retaining wall creating a good atmosphere and sense of privacy. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished with traditional wood furniture, but very high quality and comfortable. Our king patio room had a sitting room with an adorable fireplace which came in great handy during the chilly fall evening. Everything is very clean, the kitchen is surprisingly large and well stocked. The pool and jacuzzi are well maintained, in general the whole grounds are very nicely manicured and they decorated for Xmas in late November which was very nice! I am truly impressed with the thoughtfulness of the owners in the way they run and maintain the whole property, such a gem of a place that you don’t see often anymore. As someone who does a lot of business travel and goes to corporate chains, this is a very refreshing change. Additional update: unfortunately our DVD player wasn’t working with our TV. The kind woman at the front desk came to our room to help, yet she wasn’t able to make it work. Nonetheless, the responsiveness and effort was there. In the future I’d recommend double checking that these things work and perhaps writing a set of simple instructions for guests to follow should they want to use the DVD option.

Great stay! Such a cute space! I was lucky enough to get a single room with a huge private patio, which was definitely taken advantage of, sitting in the patio table with a glass of wine. Their pool area is super cute, although I wish it were a little bigger as there were pool floaties being used. They provide towels and sunscreen for your use which is great. |Very close to town, whether you want to drive or ride a bike, which they have for for visitors use. Great general outdoor space as well to sit and relax and read a book. |Very nice place for a quick stop in Ojai! Will definitely be a top choice when I pass through Ojai again.

My husband and I enjoyed our road trip out of San Diego to Ojai for the most part. I grew up in the area, and it is always good to go back to experience what's new and appreciate what's old and relax a little. The art galleries were still open, as were most of the downtown area shops. Of course, the food was excellent (we're vegan). The Farmer and the Cook restaurant was especially good for breakfast during our visit.||||We stayed at The Blue Iguana Inn with both our small dogs. It was all right. Very pretty, generally well-kept and very clean. The only problem we encountered was the floor of the main room and the bathtub floor were dangerously uneven. I attempted to let the manager know about this, and she let me know that she just did not care if the floor was even, uneven, unclean or unusable - she just did not care at all. ||||We will be going back in the future, but we'll stay elsewhere in Ojai. For the money we spent, there are plenty of good options with even, safe flooring in the main living areas and the bathrooms.

Comfortable and charming. We had a King Suite and found lots of room to spread out. There were two of us staying the night and we had a wall between us (priceless). I loved the patios, the lawns, and the jacuzzi. It’s a beautiful facility and the innkeepers were accommodating and caring. I had my coffee on my private back patio and listened to the nearby roosters crowing! Terrific!

My husband and I stopped over one night on our babymoon and it was a great little find. Room was super cute, great outdoor seating setup and the staff was super kind and helpful. I misplaced my wallet and they were super helpful and calm helping me find it, from the maintenance staff to housekeeping to the front desk. Really positive experience, thank you Blue Iguana folks!

The Blue Iguana Inn was a wonderful discovery we made on our recent trip back from the Bay Area. The rooms were spacious and grounds pretty to stroll through. Nice views from the rooftop of our building to enjoy while drinking a glass of wine. Very friendly staff. Short drive to the quaint town of Ojai. We will be back!!

What a great little spot. Cute room. Adorable property. Only slight markdown is that it isn’t really walking distance from downtown. And it’s a bit noisy during the day. Other than that it’s perfect. Great value for the price. We would stay here every time we visit. Not great WiFi. 🙂
