Jennifer took care of us when we arrived on a late Saturday night. We needed a ground floor room and she set us up well. Room was clean, beds soft and comfy, and various pillows to choose from on the bed. Bathroom handiable and perfect for the needs of our senior companions. Nice offering of TV stations - including Hallmark. If we had the time it would have been nice to check out their hot tub - seemed inviting.

Enjoyed the breakfast (a little bit too much) with a standard continental breakfast and then some!! Biscuit and gravy and mini waffle maker were some nice upgrades.

Thanks again Jennifer for all your help. Nice hotel at the base of UCSC hill and right across from Ferrell’s donuts and Safeway shopping center. Great location. Newly remodel. Wonderful staff.

Delighted upon arrival that is been upgraded to a larger, quieter room without even asking. I felt truly hosted by the generous breakfast and warm welcome. Amenities exceeded expectation, big warm blanket in the closet, nice products, plenty of spare towels, decent water pressure. Plus a hot tub! This hotel is around the corner from my son’s home - walking distance - and I’ll be back with my swimsuit.

Stayed here a few weeks ago and was very happy with both our room and the service we received. I always have anxiety before we stay anywhere new and I needed have worried at all. The Mission Inn was extremely clean and quiet! The bathrooms were super clean and we had plenty of space for our suitcases. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping was really nice when we requested a couple extra towels. Both the night mgr, Mike, and Edgar were extremely friendly and helped make our stay a pleasant one. I noticed some other posters mentioning noise from Mission St and we were on the second floor just a couple units from the street and honestly, did not hear any street noise at all. Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms-- this place is a keeper. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

minutes away from the boardwalk and another beautiful coastal park.
front desk staff was very helpful. rooms were spacious and had new wooden flooring.
unfortunately, there was no pool, no fitness center, and no laundry facility on site. if those are not something you need or want, this is a good option.
no black out blinds or drapes, just the wooden blinds that let some light through.
pillow was firm, no soft pillows in my room. beds were fine.

breakfast from 7-10, I'm a firm believer that the early birds and later folks should be accommodated to extend from 6 and ideally to 11, but 10 isn't bad. breakfast room is pretty small and not much for hot options unless you're willing to overkill on carbs.
overall, given the price, i might still return.

I usually do research and look around for the best combination of deals and ratings. I didn't have the chance to do this with my most recent stay in Santa Cruz. It was a very impromptu trip, but I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at Mission Inn. Rooms were clean and welcoming. The staff members I interacted with were friendly and helpful. For the location, I feel the average pricing is pretty good. My only problem was that parking did feel a little limited, especially since a lot of people don't know how to maneuver their own vehicles. I always did end up finding a place to park though.

What a wonderful experience we had here. Jennifer at the front desk went above and beyond for me! Employees are all so welcoming and nice, location is great & walkable. Nearby restaurants & stores. Close to UC Santa Cruz and not far from the beach. Beds comfortable, parking free, felt safe. Nice shutters on windows overlooking trees. There is road noise out front but it was quiet at night. Nice size fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Free breakfast had lots of choices. I'll definitely make this my go - to spot for Santa Cruz! It's not fancy, but had everything we needed and you can't beat the staff!

My stay at Mission Inn and Suites was delightful! The hotel has a charming, quaint atmosphere that made for a cozy and relaxing experience. The host at check-in was absolutely lovely, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast—a perfect way to start the day with a good selection of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm, inviting place to stay! Best donut place is right across the street too!

Had a great stay at Mission Inn. The room was comfortable and clean. My wife and I, however, did NOT enjoy the pillows... The room was quiet although you could occasionally hear other guests in the halls. The included breakfast was sufficient with hot waffles, biscuits and gravy, lots of cereal, boiled eggs, toasts, yogurt, and coffee. There are also a reasonable amount of good food options within walking distance. We'd definitely stay again.
