This hotel is not bad for the price and location. The parking can be challenging as the parking spaces are pretty tight, but they do have two Tesla EV Chargers for you to use. Hotel is very clean and staff are friendly.

Rooms were bit dated, but clean and everything in working order. One thing weird was the hotel rooms had a slight vibration to it, almost as if the hotel was built on top of a hydro pump. It wasn't too bad, but you can definitely feel it. Had a nice swimming pool and fitness area and also had a working sauna room.

The breakfast was good (can't complain too much if it's free) but it appears the pancake maker heating element may not have been working correctly.

One minor annoyance was during breakfast, they maintenance crew decide to start vacuuming the carpet in the lobby area.

Breakfast was great scrambled eggs,sausages,pancakes, cereal, toast,bagels, country potatoes, biscuits and gravy. The room was great. Beds are comfortable cable channels are good. Staff is friendly and helpful. My family and I loved our stay here. Shout out to Jose and Alex. Awesome people. These guys work at the hotel reception desk. U have the habit burger next door and a Dennys across the street.

Overall a good experience. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Shoutout to Max at the front desk.

The main negative with our stay was the bathroom. Our bathroom had a mold/mildew problem. There is mold under most of the caulk and coming out the edges. Its surrounds the fixtures and covers one tile particularly.

This should have been noticed by either cleaning staff or management beforehand. It looks like someone attempted to clean it and caulked over it, but since it wasn’t fully cleaned up, it just kept growing underneath. The bathroom fan should be running either by default or on a schedule.

Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Everyone was kind and helpful. Parking was easy and reasonably priced at $10/night. Assuming they revamp their cleaning/inspections, I recommend.

This hotel is just great! I had an excellent and super comfortable room, very big, great bed, very very clean, big bathroom. Good complementary breakfast and nice staff! I would definitely recommend it!!!!

The hotel is a good price for value. The management is new and they have plans to update the hotel which is great. Everything is very clean but design could benefit from an update. Staff is very friendly. Hotel gym is small, has some old cardio machines, one cable machine and some dumbbells. For the space is definitely enough. I really appreciate how clean it is. One thing I wish, but seems to be standard in most hotels in the US, is the plastic cutlery at the breakfast buffet. For sustainability reasons I wish they would use proper plates and cutlery and wash in an industrial dishwasher. This would immediately massively impact perception of breakfast quality. Parking is available in the underground garage.
Also really enjoyed the donut shop across the street. 😉

The breakfast area needed some items and they ran out of cream cheese and butter. On a busy weekend. In a tourist town. That is not acceptable. We pay for rooms which include breakfast, they should have sufficient food for the weekend. The breakfast host needs to get on the right page.

Positive: Location to UCSC is only 4 miles. Close to everything. Very clean and staffs are friendly Negative: The bed and beddings are nice, soft and clean but the pillows although soft are too thick, hurt my neck, ended up sleeping without it.

Checked in and received my room card with room number and two key cards. Left my things in my room while I briefly left the hotel. When I returned, I was met outside my room by the hotel clerk. I was informed that I had been giving the wrong keys and room. Another guest was also given the same room with key cards and had entered the room while I was away. I was asked to leave the room and move into another room. I was left standing in the hallway with my belongings while the hotel clerk went down and retrieved key cards for the new room. After what seemed like forever, the hotel clerk came back, apologized, and stated he had comp'd my $10 parking. Geez, thanks. I definitely will NOT be back after that ordeal alone.

Also. Walls are paper thin. Heard EVERYTHING the room next to me was doing in-between the noise of the elevators running loudly all night. Cut my trip short and left before 6am. Will never return.
