We reserved Hastings House for our wedding in early November 2024. It was a fantastic event thanks to Linda and her leadership, her marvelous garden, and the ambiance created by her husband Richard and his guitar. We got lucky with a gorgeous sunny day that brought out the best lighting for the garden ceremony and photos. Our family and friends were impressed with the whole experience.
Linda helped us right from the start with a recommendation list that included Dave Medal Photography, La Costanera for the reception and Alena Jean for our florals. The few months of preparation and the day of events could not have gone any better and we cannot recommend Linda and her garden enough.

Linda’s garden is a breathtaking oasis by the ocean! We had our wedding here in September, and it was truly the best day of my life. Linda is incredibly kind, patient, and thoughtful. Despite being quite particular with my wedding details, she went above and beyond to accommodate every request. On the big day, she generously allowed my helpers to start early and even took complimentary photos for us. If you’re looking for an intimate and stunning venue, I highly recommend the Hastings House Garden!

P.S. I also recommend Raymond as the officiant. Having worked closely with Linda, his calm and peaceful presence made our day even more perfect.

My husband and I had our wedding here late last summer and it was an absolute dream. I had been searching for wedding spots all over the place including destination weddings and when my friend and I saw this garden, I became teary eyed. I knew this venue was perfect. The garden is so peaceful and it gives off a simple outdoorsy yet beautifully elegant vibe that I was in love with. You can tell that a lot of work, care, and love has been given to the garden, which made me love it even more.

Linda was extremely prompt answering all questions that I had and she was a great person to work with. She knows a lot about Half Moon Bay and gives you a list of nearby places to hold reception, get flowers, and officiants. She is upfront about her pricing and there were absolutely no hidden costs. We had a small wedding with under 50 guests and it was perfect, (the garden can hold more people though).

Need a photographer? Have Linda do the photography! Linda and an assistant took our photos, and they turned out amazing. They even had photography shades and reflectors, (not sure of the proper term), to help get proper lighting outdoors. We received a lot of compliments on our photos and we're so appreciative!

Overall, I give this venue 10 out of 5 stars. They go above and beyond to make sure that you have the wedding of your dreams. It was perfect. Thank you!

My husband and I had our wedding here many years ago. Today we booked the hotel next door without knowing! I'm so glad we stumbled upon this magical house again! The owner was very sweet and made a chaotic wedding beautiful!

We looked at 19 Bay Area wedding venues and Hastings House turned out to be our top choice. What a unique gem! Linda thoughtfully cultivated every nook and cranny of this stunning, enchanted garden space. My wife and I had the pleasure of having Linda photograph us there, separate from the wedding itself so it was just the two of us. It was such a serene, blissful experience to get to be in the silence and beauty of this extraordinary setting holding my new bride as Linda staged and skillfully captured one tender moment after another. It was one of the highlights of our whole wedding! Thank you again, Linda, for your time, generosity, guidance and graciousness. You are as special as the garden you created and so generously share with others.

The venue was intimate, beautiful and serene, Linda was very helpful and communicated professionally and clearly. I'm so grateful for her help in making sure our wedding day went smoothly. In addition to hosting the venue for our ceremony, Linda also took pictures and coordinated a guitarist and officiant. Our wedding had a lot less stress involved thanks to her experience and knowledge of what works and what doesn't. Thank you Linda and team!

We had our small wedding of 25 guests here in July of 2017. The venue is a dream come true. Linda has worked so hard to truely create a breathtaking wedding experience, even for your guests. She is also a talented photographer and a wedding coordinator. Her husband plays the music to capture a unique and cherished memory. When we got married the whales were migrating, which made for an exciting ocean view! Our pictures were beautiful, our ceremony was intimate. If we could do it all over again, we would not change a thing.
