I officiated a memorial service at Mavericks House for a local family. The venue was incredibly beautiful, impeccably tidy, and had an adequate sound system with dual large mounted TV screens, plus excellent drinks and catering. The staff was professional, courteous, and happy to accommodate last-minute table rearranging and special needs. The beachside location can't be topped!

The location was absolutely beautiful, and the setting was amazing—definitely deserving of a 5/5 rating! However, I was disappointed with the food. Unfortunately, everything was quite bland and lacked flavor, which was a letdown given the lovely ambiance.

While the overall experience was good, the quality of the food needs improvement. If they can enhance the flavors, it would truly elevate the entire dining experience.

I had my wedding here and it was lovely! I wouldn't have changed anything. The staff are wonderful. The website was well layed out with pricing information. Communication with the venue was extremely well taken care of. Over all great experience and I would book another event with them again.

As a photographer, I've loved photographing weddings at Mavericks House. They have such a wonderful staff that are kind and take care of you (even as a vendor!) and everything is all in one place. They also have a great getting ready room (because of size + lighting!). And you can't beat the views and backdrop of the ceremony location.

Our experience with Mavericks House was exceptional from start to finish. Communication was effortless, with easy contact via email and their event portal. Brittani, our main contact, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, ensuring that we were always up-to-date on deadlines, payments, and required documentation/forms.

The venue's payment schedule and pricing structure were transparent and easy to understand, and the payment portal made transactions simple and convenient. The portal also let us refer to current and past documents at any time, making planning much easier.

One of the highlights of our experience was the delicious food and drinks provided by the venue. The menu we chose offered a variety of options, including 3 cocktail hour appetizers, starter salad, 3 different mains, 2 sides, a churro bar, wine list, beer list, and His/Hers signature cocktails. The tasting process to choose our menu and drink list was not only enjoyable but also helped us customize our selections to our preferences. During the tasting, we also chose tablecloth/napkin colors, table configurations, and many other details for our wedding. They also took into consideration our guests with sensitive food allergies. We needed accommodations for gluten free, nut free, and shellfish free guests. Our guests with these allergies said the staff were very helpful and provided food they could enjoy.

One thing that truly set this venue apart was their accommodation for guests who didn't drink. They allowed us to have two His/Hers signature cocktails and a mocktail, ensuring that everyone had a special drink option. Additionally, they provided Martinelli sparkling cider in addition to champagne for our toast, catering to our non-drinking guests.

Throughout our wedding day, the staff provided full support and assistance when necessary, including helping us set up our DIY decor/centerpieces. Whenever we wanted to get more drinks from the bar, a staff member made us feel special by getting our drinks quickly, making us feel like the VIPs of our event! Since we were busy taking photos during our cocktail hour, at dinner, the staff provided us with a sampler plate of the appetizers we missed during cocktail hour, which was very thoughtful! At the end of the night, clean up was a breeze as the staff quickly and efficiently helped us clean up well before our 11pm cut-off time.

Overall, our experience with Mavericks House was wonderful, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a picturesque venue that offers great food, drinks, and exceptional service.

The Mavericks House has a lot of different options available that could suit your budget. Different menu options, different bar options, additional add-ons, etc. I would say that after searching many many hours for a Bay Area venue that didn't cost me an exorbitant amount of money, I felt very lucky to have found the Mavericks House.

We held our wedding (ceremony+cocktail+reception) here. We had about 60 guests, and I think that was a comfortable number (especially during Covid times). We were looking for a place to have a smaller wedding with reasonable prices, is dog-friendly, and has a spectacular view. This place checked off all our boxes. Getting married with the ocean in the background, bright blue skies, and seals yapping in the background was everything I could've hoped for. We got extremely lucky with the weather, and the day was magical!

Another huge plus is the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor of the reception space is available as the "bridal suite". The space is huge! There are couches, a private bathroom, a fridge, and it's just a relaxing space. I was able to get ready up there before the ceremony, and we were able to escape from the guests whenever we wanted.

Finally, I just wanted to say that Melanie and Lisa were both just wonderful people. Melanie was my point person for all my initial inquiries. She was great and very responsive. Once I reserved the date, Lisa became my girl. Lisa was just THE BEST. She was so professional, so helpful, and so poised. As a bride, I had a million things in my head that I'm worried about and have questions about. Lisa was so patient with all my questions. Since she's been doing this a while, she was able to bring up other things that I didn't even think about. She really helped me with the little details as we got closer to the date, and she made sure everything ran smoothly on my wedding day. The venue doesn't have a designated day of coordinator, and Lisa is definitely not that, but she really made things easier. I planned the wedding on my own, and I'm so glad Lisa was the person I got to work with to carry out my vision. I highly recommend the Mavericks House!

We had our wedding at Mavericks House a few weeks back - honestly pretty convinced its one of the best venues in the Bay Area for sub-100 people.

The views are amazing, the outdoor patio was very well set up and the ceremony site was spectacular - we felt like everything flowed really well. The photos don't do it justice - it looks even better in person.

Food was overall quite good. Appetizers were excellent. Main courses were solid - not exceptional - but more than did the job.

The team was highly professional - Brittani was very communicative leading up to the wedding, and the day went off without a hitch.
