Great new space off Highway 1. Texas-style barbecue in Half Moon Bay Area in small town of El Granada. Food is absolutely legit! Burnt ends banh mi is delicious and the brisket chili is absolute perfection! Smoked brisket by the 1/2 lb was so tender and melted as I picked it up with a fork. I don’t know how they sliced it without it breaking up. The pork ribs were great per my wife! I would not recommend the mini loaf cornbread for $5 because it is definitely not worth $5. The size of it is like the cornbread Boston market used to sell. I think they were $1 when they were around. I am definitely coming to this barbecue joint regularly from now on to try everything eventually! I am so glad they picked this vacant spot because now they will get even more attention from drivers on Highway 1 that will see the long lines out the doors.

Best BBQ I've had, hands down! I highly recommend the brisket sandwich melt and the breakwater burger (it has chopped smoked brisket added), truly the most superb sandwich & burger I've eaten 😋

Congrats Wyatt & team on the prime new location!! Nothing like smelling BBQ from my backyard 😎

The BBQ, slaw, Mac n cheese, salads are delicious. This is more of a takeout place. The few tables there for eat in are essentially just that. Doesn't come with service The tables aren't wiped. And you self bus your trays afterwards. It's a pit stop.

I would definitely come back and take it home or eat outside as a picnic.

We got the Gold Rush meats look great and texture of meats was pretty spot on, flavor sucked. Had a bad heavy smoke flavor, sauces dont compliment the meat. Sides were just bad, somebody needs to start tasting the food. We tried it and had good hopes, but we wont be back.

The best BBQ place we have found anywhere. The Brisket is second to none, and though I am not usually a fan of mac and cheese, theirs is the best I have ever found. It is completely irresistible. Also the coleslaw and the potato salad are top contenders. The current location is in a sleepy off the beach neighborhood which is very charming, but they are moving to a much bigger place right at the entrance of the harbor soon. If they maintain the quality of their food, the new much bigger place will be constantly packed!

Good stuff. The brisket is melt-in-your-mouth. It was very tender and juicy. This is a must-try for any BBQ lover. Best Texas BBQ in the Bay Area!

By Bay Area standards, this is top-tier BBQ. 4.5 stars for the food, rounding up to 5. I'd say the brisket is excellent, ribs are very good (although a bit too "soft"), and the sausage is OK. Slaw is light and tangy - perfect for balancing out the salt and fat. Mac and cheese has actual good cheese flavor - but it's really rich, so go for the small size. Friendly service. Would definitely return.
