Hunted 3 days ducks and geese. Tough hunting due to cold weather and ice up. Still killed a variety of ducks as well as Specks, Snows and Blue geese. Even a few Canadians in the mix. Just over 10 birds a day but saw thousands migrating. Lisa cooked some great meals. The lodge worked for our group of 5 as there were no other guests. Would be a bit tight with a few more people as there are 2 bathrooms. Overall a good trip.

Do not go, the lodge is an old run down grain silo office. At most 6 hunters is comfortable but Ron will try to get more in. The best meal that was cooked was because Nick from the other group cooked. The meals were not great. Ron basically has 3 maybe 4 spots to hunt and you basically just rotate through them in hopes of killing a bird. 6 people in 4 sittings we killed 1 juvenile goose. Ron must be getting old. We had to point out the birds to him to that he would call. Most of the time he just sat there looking at the sky and talking about how great it once was. Avoid this place and go somewhere that is much better.

Absolutely top tier snow goose experience. Ron was exceptionally knowledgeable on everything from weather effects to flight patterns. He was with the group every step of the way, evaluating the situation each day to ensure we were best postured for success. Accommodations and food were outstanding as well, with the home cooked meals by Lisa a welcome greeting after spending hours in the spread. Our first snow goose hunting experience last year was abysmal with only one bird in several days of hunting. With similar weather conditions this year, we killed birds at every sitting. Absolutely plan to bring the group to Paradise Wings next year for another hunt. Highly recommend!

This is a no nonsense snow goose hunt that’s a bargain. Ron and Lisa work hard to make your trip successful and simple. Food is great and the hunting is fun, relaxed and comfortable. Hopefully you’ll need to tap into Ron’s extra ammo supply which is cheaper than you’ll find anywhere else. You won’t find a better price or a more accommodating team. Eat, sleep, hunt and repeat for best results.

Ron is a very nice guy and Lisa is a great cook! We read some older bad reviews from 2012 and 2010 but thought we would still give this place a shot. We have been hunting for a very long time and know that hunting can sometimes not be the best due to stale birds and other things. When we were there the ducks were in the area but the spots this guy has are terrible. We were told we were going “timber” hunting. We literally stood in a slough that was so thick with brush you couldn’t see 15 yards in front of you. Then on the second morning of our hunt we were sent to a pontoon blind. The water around the blind was so deep it went over our chest waders. Do not waste your money going to this place it is not worth it!
